Terms of Service

2. What the bot offers

The bot backs up Discord servers and restores them. It also offers automatic backups, anti-nuke protection and moderation commands. Use is free of charge. What exactly you are allowed to do, for example how many backups you can keep and whether messages are included, is determined by your rank (/rank). There is no entitlement to a particular scope of service or to the bot being available at all times.

3. What you agree to

• You only back up, load and clone servers where you are authorised to do so, that is, where you are an administrator or the owner.
• You comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
• If you back up messages, you are aware that they contain your members' content and IDs, and you handle them with appropriate care.
• You do not use the bot to copy other people's servers without permission, to harass members or to overload Discord.
• If you host a giveaway, you are responsible for the prize, its handover and all legal duties (for example for physical prizes). SnapCord only draws the winners. Paid entry or a purchase requirement is not allowed.

4. Restoring is an intervention

“Replace” deletes channels and roles and rebuilds the server. Before doing so, the bot creates a safety backup. A restore may still be incomplete, for example if Discord does not allow something, permissions are missing or a job is cancelled. Restored messages appear as webhook messages, not as messages from their original authors. Before loading, check with /backup compare what will change.

5. Liability

For intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health, the provider is liable in accordance with the statutory provisions. Beyond that, liability for data loss and consequential damage is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Keep your own copies of important backups as well. You can download them on this website.

6. Blocking and termination

In the event of abuse, the provider may block users or servers and delete their backups. The service may be discontinued at any time; where possible, this will be announced in advance so that backups can be downloaded.

7. Changes

These terms may change. The version published on this page applies. German law applies.
